If you’re a fan of nice wine then a wine tasting experience can be a great way to celebrate a special occasion or simply a nice way to spend a sunny weekend afternoon.
What is wine tasting?
Wine tasting is an experience where you get to try new wines, learn more about the wine making process and often explore a vineyard at the same time. It’s an opportunity for tasting wine that you may not have come across before.
You can find wine tasting events at vineyards and wineries across the country but also many stately homes and restaurants also offer wine tasting experiences. I thought I would put together all the wine tasting options across London to inspire your next wine tasting session.
Where to go Wine Tasting in London
Humble Grape – Six wine bars across London
Visit on a Tuesdays for a tantalising mini tasting of four wines with a different theme each week.

The London Wine Academy – 6 Park Pl, St. James’s, London SW1A 1LR
Wine Tastings – Embark on a sensory voyage in a tasting Course. Uncover the nuances of renowned grape varieties from global wine regions and unlock the hidden treasures within each glass. Bedales of Borough Market – 5 Bedale St, London SE1 9AL
Self Guided Wine Tastings – Enjoy a glass of bubbles on arrival followed by a flight of 3 wines selected by the sommeliers. The tasting diary includes tips on how to correctly taste the wine, fun facts, space for you to make your own notes and then compare them to Bedales notes.
Cost: From £30 per person. Virtual wine tastings are also available.

Public Wine Tasting Events – These wine tastings are quite informal and cater for inexperienced to experienced wine tasters. The tasting includes mixed boards of charcuterie and cheese to pair with six wines.

Winery Tour and Tasting – On this tour the participants will discover how wines are made in Fulham. You will taste the current range of wines, explore how the wines were made, talk about our local regions, and provide an accessible introduction to how Cru do things.
Cost: From £28 per person. They also have a Winemaker for a Day experience available.
Hedonism Wines – 3-7 Davies St, London W1K 3DJ
Wine Tastings – A walk-around tasting, where you will have the opportunity to taste approximately 30 wines from nearly as many producers.

Walkaround Tastings – Davy’s walk around tastings are a fantastic opportunity to try a wide range of styles, including Davy’s perennial favourites alongside some wonderful classics from old and new world as well as latest arrivals.

Sippy Sundays Wine Tasting – Every Sunday you can spend an afternoon enjoying wine and some light food at Yield N1. You will taste 3 wines alongside some charcuterie and cheese.

Discovery Wine Pairing – Explore an incredible selection of wines in our Discovery Pairing at Restaurant 1890, with wines hand selected to compliment the dishes you are served.

St Pancras by Searcys – St. Pancras, St Pancras International Station, London N1C 4QL
Champagne Masterclass Dinner – Martin Dibben, the Head of Champagne, will guide you through a selection of cuvées accompanied by an expertly curated three-course dinner, connecting the numerous films that celebrate Champagne, from James Bond to The Godfather, or The Great Gatsby, as well as share his own personal mishap on the set of Mothering Sunday in 2020.
