Where to go Wine Tasting in London 2024

If you’re a fan of nice wine then a wine tasting experience can be a great way to celebrate a special occasion or simply a nice way to spend a sunny weekend afternoon.
What is wine tasting?
Wine tasting is an experience where you get to try new wines, learn more about the wine making process and often explore a vineyard at the same time. It’s an opportunity for tasting wine that you may not have come across before.
You can find wine tasting events at vineyards and wineries across the country but also many stately homes and restaurants also offer wine tasting experiences. I thought I would put together all the wine tasting options across London to inspire your next wine tasting session.
Where to go Wine Tasting in London
Humble Grape – Six wine bars across London
Visit on a Tuesdays for a tantalising mini tasting of four wines with a different theme each week.

Introduction to Wine Tasting – Enjoy a Champagne reception in the Pickering Cellar before a two-hour session designed to enhance your ability in wine tasting. At this event, your host will teach you to trust these instincts, helping you grow in confidence.
Cost: From £125 per person. They also have a one day wine school event to learn all there is to know about wine.

Wine Tastings – Explore the world of wine at one of the exclusive tasting events, held in the traditional tasting room.

The London Wine Academy – 6 Park Pl, St. James’s, London SW1A 1LR
Wine Tastings – Embark on a sensory voyage in a tasting Course. Uncover the nuances of renowned grape varieties from global wine regions and unlock the hidden treasures within each glass. This immersive journey will take you beyond mere sips and into a realm of rich history, diverse grape varieties, and intricate production methods transporting you to the different regions around the world with each sip.

Bedales of Borough Market – 5 Bedale St, London SE1 9AL
Self Guided Wine Tastings – Enjoy a glass of bubbles on arrival followed by a flight of 3 wines selected by the sommeliers. The tasting diary includes tips on how to correctly taste the wine, fun facts, space for you to make your own notes and then compare them to Bedales notes.
Cost: From £30 per person. Virtual wine tastings are also available.
The Winemakers Club – 41a Farringdon St, London EC4A 4AN
Public Wine Tasting Events – These wine tastings are quite informal and cater for inexperienced to experienced wine tasters. The tasting includes mixed boards of charcuterie and cheese to pair with six wines.
Cost: From £35 per person
London Cru Winery – 21-27 Seagrave Rd, London SW6 1RP
Winery Tour and Tasting – On this tour the participants will discover how wines are made in Fulham. You will taste the current range of wines, explore how the wines were made, talk about our local regions, and provide an accessible introduction to how Cru do things.
Cost: From £28 per person. They also have a Winemaker for a Day experience available.
Hedonism Wines – 3-7 Davies St, London W1K 3DJ
Wine Tastings – A walk-around tasting, where you will have the opportunity to taste approximately 30 wines from nearly as many producers.

Davy’s Wine Merchants – 161-165 Greenwich High Road, Greenwich, London SE10 8JA
Walkaround Tastings – Davy’s walk around tastings are a fantastic opportunity to try a wide range of styles, including Davy’s perennial favourites alongside some wonderful classics from old and new world as well as latest arrivals.
Cost: From £40 per person. They also offer wine master classes and tutored tastings.
La Fromagerie – Highbury / Marylebone / Bloomsbury
Seated / Standing Cheese and Wine Tasting – The cheese and wine events offer a unique, relaxed setting where you are taken on a seasonal tasting journey of cheese and wine pairings, exploring the true taste of each terroir.

The Stafford Wine Tastings – Join the knowledgeable Head Sommelier and his team in The Stafford Wine Cellar for an informal evening of wine tasting. Nestled beneath the hotel, the Wine Cellars offer 400 years of history, plus an exclusive collection of over 8,000 bottles of the world’s finest wines.

Wine Tasting Flight – Includes eight wine tasters with small plates to accompany. Thirsty Thursday Wine Tasting – Every other Thursday Renegade host an extra special wine tasting showcasing four wines. All levels of wine knowledge welcome – it doesn’t get too technical unless that’s what you want!

28º–50º Marylebone Wine Workshop & Kitchen – 15-17 Marylebone Lane, London W1U 2NE
Wine Tastings – Select one of the wine tasting packages or allow one of the exceptional and passionate sommeliers to guide you through a selection of exquisite wines from the award-winning wine list.

Wine Tasting – Visit Wingnut Wine and get to taste five unique wines. Includes a talk led by the lovely Gabriel. All the bottles that were tasted are available to take-away with a 10% discount! Only eight tickets available per event.

Sippy Sundays Wine Tasting – Every Sunday you can spend an afternoon enjoying wine and some light food at Yield N1. You will taste 3 wines alongside some charcuterie and cheese.

Forty Hall Vineyard – Forty Hall Farm, Enfield EN2 9HA
Vineyard Tour and Tasting – Visit Forty Hall Vineyard for an hour long tour of London’s only commercial-scale vineyard. A unique, not-for-profit community project that produces award winning organic wines, and has people and well-being at its heart.
The tour includes a guided tasting of three of our delicious wines.

Gaucho Charlotte Street – 60A Charlotte St. London, W1T 2NU
Sour Grapes Wine Tasting – Book this wine tasting experience to learn an arsenal of grapy facts in a casual vibe, where Gaucho bridge the gap between winemaker and wine drinker. Afterwards, you will be equipped with a handful of basic terms to steer your friendly sommelier towards your preferences when choosing your next bottle.

Restaurant 1890 by Gordon Ramsay – Savoy Hotel, Strand, London WC2R 0EU
Discovery Wine Pairing – Explore an incredible selection of wines in our Discovery Pairing at Restaurant 1890, with wines hand selected to compliment the dishes you are served.
Cost: £220 for two people. There is also a Fine Wine Pairing experience too.
St Pancras by Searcys – St. Pancras, St Pancras International Station, London N1C 4QL
Champagne Masterclass Dinner РMartin Dibben, the Head of Champagne, will guide you through a selection of cuv̩es accompanied by an expertly curated three-course dinner, connecting the numerous films that celebrate Champagne, from James Bond to The Godfather, or The Great Gatsby, as well as share his own personal mishap on the set of Mothering Sunday in 2020.
