Me & Mine {June 2018}
Sometimes living a life online is hard as you can’t just stop posting on social media, you can’t just stop blogging. Whatever is happening in your life the online world needs to carry on to some extent as it’s your job. And honestly, sometimes having blogging as your job is just so hard. This month, and the last couple of months really, have been really tough for Dave and I – not that you would really know from the blog or social media – but, I’m pleased to say that June has finished on a high and as a family we are happier than we ever have been.
We have crammed so much into June – a trip to the seaside, a day on a cruise ship and a pretty lovely day on the coast where we went up the Spinnaker Tower, captained boats and had a really lovely meal at a new restaurant. Fathers Day was lovely this month and we have just spent so much time together as a family. It’s been lovely.
The month finished with Dave and I having a couple of much needed nights out – one to see Lenny Kravitz at Wembley and another seeing The Greatest Showman at a local rooftop cinema which was actually one of the simplest but best nights I have had in years. Watching a really great movie as the sun went down, sitting in deckchairs and eating a picnic. It was perfect.
But the month has finished with yet more family time – a weekend in Bristol where these photos were taken. I asked the children recently if they had more fun with Mummy or Daddy and they both said, pretty unanimously, that they have the most fun when we’re all together. And I can’t argue with that. I have faith that the way June has finished is the way that the next months will continue – on a high of togetherness.
I am so happy to read this Donna, lovely photographs xx
