Flymo have been a household name since they launched back in 1964 and now, 55 years later, their range of hover mowers are better than ever before and we have been lucky enough to test out one of their new mowers.
I remember my parents always having a hover mower – it was something they could rely on and knew that it would make cutting the lawn as effortless as possible. This year Flymo have launched a new range of hover mowers and I was excited to see how far they have come since watching my parents mow the lawn as a child.
The Flymo Easi Glide 300 is a fantastic option for anyone with a small to medium size garden. It’s so lightweight and comes fully assembled so all you have to do is take it out of the box. It even folds away for easy storage so it’s perfect for those limited on storage space.
I was impressed that the hover mower collects the grass as it cuts. It has a really compact design but still has space inside for a grass collection box, where grass is collected and compacted. It actually stores a really high volume of grass and the collection box is easy to remove and empty whilst you’re cutting the lawn.
The Flymo Easi Glide 300 comes with a metal cutting blade and has four separate cutting heights so you can vary the length of the grass depending on the weather and time of year. It’s advised to give the lawn a light trim the first time you cut it each season before working your way down to a shorter length.
I can’t believe how easy the Flymo Easi Glide is to use. We took it out of the box, plugged it in and cut the lawn straight away. It’s really lightweight and has a twelve metre cable so smaller gardens could be cut without needing an extension lead. It also has controls on both the left and right side of the mower handle so it works seamlessly for both left and right handed people.
The Flymo Easi Glide 300 is great value and a fantastic option for smaller lawns and it really does make light work of cutting the grass, leaving more time to relax and enjoy all the fun things in life. Hover mowers really have come far in the last few years and we have loved using ours.

Ooh we are in the market for a new mower, thanks for this. We have always used Flymos before too, and been really happy with them.
