LP’s Birthday Celebrations

Last week was such a lovely week, mainly dedicated to LP’s 3rd Birthday.

On Wednesday we had a day at Legoland Windsor and both LP and Little Man managed to go on a four rides with the usual school holiday queues and had a lovely lunch. LP and Little Man were oblivious of the queues and just loved the rides that we managed to go on – trains are a definite winner for the whole family!

On Thursday, LP’s actual Birthday we had a morning of present opening and playing before heading to Wellington Country Park for a play, explore and lunch. It’s somewhere we hadn’t been before but a great day out, so much to do and the weather was lovely to really be able to appreciate it. We left at about 4pm when both babies were exhausted and went to a local dessert parlour for an ice cream celebratory treat! What child doesn’t love Birthday ice-cream!

On Sunday we had LP’s Birthday gathering. Friends and family came round and the sun shone more than it has done in weeks. The weather was truly fantastic and it was so nice to be able to spend time outside. We don’t normally go all out for Birthdays – LP has never shown an interest until this year – and so we ordered some helium balloons, put up a banner from The Little Things and had matching tableware and party bags from there too. LP loved it all and helped me to get the party food together.

LP insisted on party hats, a Mickey Mouse cake and one candle. We obviously couldn’t refuse! LP had such a lovely party, she loved playing with her friends and she said goodbye to each of them with filled up party bags – sweet treats, bouncy balls, bubbles and skipping ropes! I now can’t believe her Birthday is over, that she is three and that this time next year she will be 4! Where does the time go?!

Happy Birthday Little Pickle.
