Freeing up space in your Bedroom | AD

Our bedroom’s aren’t always as big as we would like them to be, so it’s important that we make the most of the space that we have. There are a few different tips and tricks you can put in place to truly get the most out of your bedroom, so in today’s blog, I’m going to make it easy for you and give you those tips.

Storage Beds are your new best friend

Using storage boxes is convenient, but they don’t look good. Everyone wants their house to look good, and storage boxes are not aesthetically pleasing. So why not try a storage bed from Bed Guru? They are ultra-convenient, and they take up the same amount of space as a normal bed.

The great thing with storage beds, particularly ones with a Divan frame, they simply lift up from the base. As you can see in the image below, you can keep all your things nicely stored away, whilst not taking up too much room. The bonus is, they look great too! They don’t compromise any of your space, particularly if you keep them up against the wall.

Are double beds necessary?

Everyone wants extra space when they sleep to roll around in, but the question is, is it really all that necessary? They take up a lot of room, particularly in smaller bedrooms, and can create blockages in doors and other areas.

You may want to try and think realistically, if there’s just you staying in the bed, do you really need a double? If you regularly have guests over, one solution would be to get a guest bed, which stands as a single and has an extra bed underneath. Alternatively, there are wide single beds available and small doubles that don’t compromise as much space. There are different styles to suit every need, whether you’re looking for modern chic, or for a more traditional wooden framed look.

Don’t forget your mates

As I mentioned before, it is highly likely you will have guests staying over and if you have a specific guest’s room, then they are often the smallest in the house.

As you can see from the image below, there are options available such as sliding single beds, which holds another single underneath it. You may also want to consider a double bed, although it will take up a lot of space, your guest is only likely to be staying for a short amount of time, so they won’t be overly bothered by a slightly cramped fit.

Ensure the bed is pressed right up against the back wall, with enough space for your guests to move around at the sides of the bed.

So, these are just some of the tips and tricks you can put in place to make your bedroom a more spacious room. Hopefully you can flourish in your new space, add a touch of class and your bedroom will be your new favourite area in your home.
