Whether you are looking for high street or high end items for your children, I have put together some of the most stylish fashion pieces to invest in this autumn-winter.

It is the season of cosy knits, pumpkin lattes and oversized coats. And if you’re confused about your prints and chunkier items then I have you covered with the latest styles for your kids. When dressing your little ones in the colder months it is important to keep them warm but you don’t always have to compromise style to do so, after all, it is the season of glitz and glam! Take a look at some of the key statements to invest in at the moment.

The classic but stylish trench

As the sea of autumnal leaves begins to fall, you will need a transitional piece to bridge the gap as the darker nights loom and the chill sets in. You can’t beat a classic but stylish trench coat, the perfect transitional piece. And if beige really isn’t your colour you could try khaki or navy and why not make it a bit warmer by choosing a woollen double-breasted trench. This staple piece is perfect for both mummies and their mini me’s and will last for years to come!

Trendy tracksuits

There is nothing quite like throwing on your comfies during the winter, whether you want them to lounge around the house or to run to the local shops with mummy and daddy.

Children love clothes that require minimum effort and allow maximum comfort when completing their activities. Sometimes it is worth investing in a good quality tracksuit if it is going to get its wear. I have an ultra-soft fleece tracksuit on the shopping list for my little ones. Snug items such as these make for great family gifts as well, I found these Stella McCartney kids tracksuits for Christmas that I am sure will be a hit with all their cousins too!

Faux fur

Faux fur is everywhere at the moment, from sweater detailing to jackets and coats. This is a great addition to your little girl’s wardrobe, especially for all those Christmas parties she’ll be attending – try a blush baby pink or deep burgundy to add a touch of sass to her outfit. There will be no refusing to put on a coat when they feel just how cosy their new fluffy faux fur can be against the cold winter nights.

All things purple

Not all winter wear has to be dark and dreary. Luckily one of the favourite colours for 2019 is purple, a true crowd-pleaser amongst the kids and something a bit more exciting than the traditional black. Think all types of shades from lilac pastels to rich burgundy and deep violets. From dresses, coats, jumpers and headbands, add a splash of colour to your child’s wardrobe this autumn-winter and we are sure they will thank you for it.

Boots

I could not be happier that the street style is here to stay for another year. Military boots are the most convenient item of clothing when it comes to kids. From knee-high lace-up combat boots for girls and classic Doc Martens for boys, these 90s throwbacks are the best choice for the winter elements and running around the park. Pair them with simple blue jeans or feminine dresses for a true fashionista look!

So there you have it, a few statement pieces to add to your cosy knits and leggings and you have the complete autumn-winter wardrobe for 2019.
