Days Out With Friends {The Ordinary Moments}

Welcome back to another week of the Ordinary Moments. If you haven’t joined in before this is a weekly linky that launches every Sunday morning and is open until midnight on the following Saturday. It’s a linky that celebrates any ordinary moments in your life – or the not so ordinary some weeks too. Basically – anything goes. I’ll be sharing and commenting on the posts that are linked up during the week and there’s a badge at the bottom of the post if you’d like to add it to yours too.

Once a month or so we organise to meet up with faraway friends. Yesterday was one of those days – an adventure at a National Trust property with lovely Lauren and her two gorgeous children.

I first met Lauren when Little Man and her youngest were about a year old. Five and a half years ago. Over those years our four children have built a firm friendship and we always have some of the best days out together.

We spent a few hours having lunch, walking through a forest, jumping in puddles and just having such a nice time. The children got muddy, Lauren and I had time to chat and we admired all the puppies that walked past. It was a simple but lovely day.

In a busy life it’s so important to make time to see people who matter to you, the ones that make you happy. It’s also important to do things for you and not just your family. Days like today tick every box – we all had time with friends and felt like it was a day well spent. I can’t wait for the next day out.

The Ordinary Moments

If you have an ordinary moment this week, come and link up – I’m looking forward to reading the moments that you share and will comment and share them on Twitter through the course of the week. Thanks so much for taking part.
