Counting Down {The Ordinary Moments}
Welcome back to another week of the Ordinary Moments. If you haven’t joined in before this is a weekly linky that launches every Sunday morning and is open until midnight on the following Saturday. It’s a linky that celebrates any ordinary moments in your life – or the not so ordinary some weeks too. Basically – anything goes. I’ll be sharing and commenting on the posts that are linked up during the week and there’s a badge at the bottom of the post if you’d like to add it to yours too.
As you can probably tell, we don’t have a whole lot happening in our lives at the moment so not that many ordinary moments to share. But there is one constant right now – our focus on the summer holidays.
We have been counting down the days for a few weeks now and it finally feels like we’re on the home straight. We have one more week left of school and then we can switch off for the summer.
Next week Little Man is back at school for the week. It will be his first experience of the Junior campus ready for September and he’s even got the teacher he’ll be having next year too. I’m so pleased he gets to have a proper transition – something I didn’t even contemplate a few months ago.
I’ll be having some dedicated time with LP. It will be lovely to just be us for the week, like the week I had with Little Man a couple of weeks ago. We don’t get much time just the two of us so I’m really looking forward to that.
And then we have one strange half day of school at home the following Monday before we finish for the summer. It cannot come quick enough and right now I feel like all of us need a bit of a high five and to celebrate getting through the last months. It’s been an education!
If you have an ordinary moment this week, come and link up – I’m looking forward to reading the moments that you share and will comment and share them on Twitter through the course of the week. Thanks so much for taking part.
It’s great that he gets his transition period, should make him feel more confident about going back in September
I agree with the high five for getting through the last few months. It’s nice that your children have had a chance to go into school. none of mine have had that opportunity. I can’t believe it’s almost the holidays already.
Not long to go now. I hope little man enjoys his time in junior school and will be looking forward to going there in September. Have a lovely week x
High five to the end of the term! I too feel like it can’t come soon enough now x
Hurray for getting through it indeed and high fives all round! Hope you’re able to make some nice plans for the summer x
