Wobbly Teeth {The Ordinary Moments}
Welcome back to another week of the Ordinary Moments. If you havenโt joined in before this is a weekly linky that launches every Sunday morning and is open until midnight on the following Saturday. Itโs a linky that celebrates any ordinary moments in your life โ or the not so ordinary some weeks too. Basically โ anything goes. Iโll be sharing and commenting on the posts that are linked up during the week and thereโs a badge at the bottom of the post if youโd like to add it to yours too.
For over a year now LP’s school friends have been losing their teeth. Some have huge gappy smiles and others have one solitary gap. On the other hand LP still has a mouth full of baby teeth. She’s so little compared to her friends that I expected her to have her baby teeth for years.
But, on Monday she came out of school with a big grin on her fact, exclaiming that she had her very first wobbly tooth! Apparently it was the second slice of apple that did it at break time and she has told every single person since that she has her very first wobbly tooth.
She is so excited. Wobbling her little tooth constantly and coming in to see me each morning with this massive smile, telling me that her tooth is still there and wobbling it with her tongue.
I was quite emotional when that tooth started to wobble. I wasn’t ready for it and it’s a sure sign that LP is growing up before my eyes. She’s a proper little lady now, so polite, so helpful and so much fun. But, when she finally has that gappy smile it will show that she really is getting older and as much as that makes me a little sad it also makes me so proud, and so excited to see where the next years take her.
I cannot wait for her first tooth to come out. I know how excited it will make her – and how keen she is for the tooth fairy to visit! I almost thought we had run out of firsts but this just shows there are still many, many more to come – and we have all this to look forward to with Little Man too!
If you have an ordinary moment this week, come and link up – I’m looking forward to reading the moments that you share and will comment and share them on Twitter through the course of the week. Thanks so much for taking part!

This really made me smile because we’ve had the exact same thing with Rhys this week! I think he’s pretty much the only child in his class not to have lost a tooth yet, and his first one started wobbling this week and he is so excited! x
Ah I remember this being so exciting, and youre right you realise there are still so many firsts to come x #TheOrdinaryMoments
This is so exciting but bittersweet too. I love this link up and will be back soon – after a month of daily blogging + work + everything else in October, I needed to step back in November x
Aww that is so exciting, but yes, bittersweet too. There are still so many exciting things to come xx
Bless her, shes so cute! It is such a massive thing to get that first wobbly tooth and then each one after – Ethan has #4 wobbly one and its just as massive as that first one he lost. It is emotional and a big step away from little one to big one! Megs is desperate for her 1st wobbly tooth xx #ordinarymoments
