Big Swings {The Ordinary Moments}

Little Man and LP both love swings. It’s the one thing that will keep them entertained for hours and something they can usually do together, which makes it easier as I don’t have to try and keep an eye on them in opposite directions.

At home LP and Little Man have a swing set that their grandparents bought for LP’s first Birthday. It has been used constantly ever since and has two ‘baby’ style seats on it, until they are big enough to sit on standard swing seats.

We went to a friend’s house recently and Little Man had his first experience of a big swing. He didn’t want the ‘baby’ seat and instead demanded to sit on the big seat. I helped him up and was surprised that he managed to keep his balance, hold on and swing himself backwards and forwards a little on it. LP has never really had an interest in big wing seats as she gets scared and would rather have the security of a baby seat – but Little Man? He just wants to be big! He doesn’t scare easily, he likes to try new things and he wants to grow up far too quickly.

  1. Oh my goodness! Little Man does look so incredibly grown up. Harry is the same, he can’t wait to try new things, things which I think he is too little or young for and actually he has no fear. It’s quite scary! A beautiful shot there too.
