A Slower Pace {The Ordinary Moments}

Disclosure: We were sent the featured products for the purpose of this post however all opinions are my own.

Welcome back to another week of the Ordinary Moments. If you haven’t joined in before this is a weekly linky that launches every Sunday morning and is open until midnight on the following Saturday. It’s a linky that celebrates any ordinary moments in your life – or the not so ordinary some weeks too. Basically – anything goes. I’ll be sharing and commenting on the posts that are linked up during the week and there’s a badge at the bottom of the post if you’d like to add it to yours too.

Each year I say that I need to slow down, plan less, spend more time at home, and just pace ourselves better as a family. Inadvertently, that’s just what I’ve done this year. And I didn’t even really think about it.

Usually at this time of year we are doing something festive every week, off on press trips and working our way up or down the country. This is our busiest time of year but, this year, we’ve said no so much and had so many days at home. It’s been lovely.

I also haven’t put a Christmas tree up until this weekend. For the first year in a fair few I’ve felt like a normal family and not an influencer family. A family where we can enjoy Christmas at the right time, along with everyone else, and not have a tree up from October to take festive photos.

This last few weeks have involved so much down time. So much sorting at home, PJ days, pancakes for brunch and snuggling on the sofa watching TV. It’s been full of normal family time and it has been lovely.

Life right now is pretty good and I think a big part of that is because we all really appreciate a slower pace and it’s definitely something we’ll be taking into the new year with us too.

Reima sent the children an outfit each from their Moomin collection and it’s pretty much the ultimate loungewear. Jogging bottoms and long sleeved striped t-shirts are perfect for this time of year at home and the children love them.

The Ordinary Moments

If you have an ordinary moment this week, come and link up – I’m looking forward to reading the moments that you share and will comment and share them on Twitter through the course of the week. Thanks so much for taking part.
