Wowee! {The Ordinary Moments}

Whilst Katie is off on an amazing adventure in Florida this half term she’s asked me to host The Ordinary Moments for her, which is always an honour! If you’d like to link up then you can at the end of the post.

Little Man is at just the best age. He wakes up chatting or singing to himself, he gets excited the minute we go into his room in the morning and then spends the day amazed by the world right through until bedtime.

With Little Man everything is exciting. If he sees a train or a super hero he’ll shout ‘Wow-ee!’ as loud as he can, if he sees a cat in the street he’ll hardly be able to contain himself and he’ll randomly shout out things he sees as if he has never seen them before – ‘BLUE car, RED car, HOUSE! HOUSE!’.

Seeing the world through a two year old’s eyes is a wonderful thing. Everything really is rosy. A simple trip to the shops can be turned into an adventure and a typical day out like a walk through the forest really is the most exciting thing to have happened since… yesterday.

Little Man embraces every day like his life has just begun again and seeing him dancing around the room when his favourite theme tune comes on the TV is one of my favourite things. He has always got a smile on his face, he loves life and I find being around him makes that contagious – it’s hard not to see the beauty in everything when you have a two year old by your side.

  1. Ahh this is so true! I have a two-year-old too and I just love it when she says ‘hurray!” after everything, even the most boring things like when I say she can have a drink she says ‘Yay! Hurray!’ – just the cutest! Thanks for hosting the ordinary moments it’s my first time joining in 🙂 x

  2. How lovely! I absolutely agree; the world through a child’s eyes is something wonderful. Cheeky Chap is always happy, always excited and always laughing, it’s pretty hard to be miserable or cross around him! That’s a lovely expression on LM’s face you captured. x
