Living Arrows – 2/53 {2018}

Welcome back to another week of Living Arrows. I loved seeing everyone link up last week. The eagle eyed of you may notice that the title of this post now says 53. No, there aren’t 53 weeks this year but there are 53 Mondays! So we will have 53 Living Arrows posts by the end of the year – thanks Katy for pointing it out!

If you haven’t joined in with Living Arrows before it’s is about celebrating childhood. The project originally took it’s name from a poem by Kahlil Gibran, “You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth” and every Monday we share a moment from our week and invite others to do the same as part of this linky.

Each week I share two pictures from our week – one of each of our children – but you can share one or more pictures that capture a moment of childhood. The following week I’ll share my three favourite photos from the week before, linking back to the owner’s blogs.

So if you would like to link up, grab a badge and post around a photo of childhood from the previous week. I look forward to reading your posts and make sure you visit a few of the other posts that have linked up and leave a comment too!

Living Arrows

Here are a few of my favourite photos from last week:

The Frenchie Mummy

Adventures of a Mum

Very Much So

This week’s photo of Little Man was taken yesterday on our weekend in Brighton. We had donuts and he spent ages trying to lick the sugar from around his mouth. I remember doing the same when I was his age.

LP’s photo was taken on the last day of the holidays before the children went back to school. She loves anything creative and spent the whole morning painting flowers on her pottery set.

Pottery Painting

I’m really looking forward to reading your posts this week. If you link up make sure to go and read some of the other posts and I’ll be commenting and sharing them through the course of the week. Thanks so much for taking part!

Awww lovely photos and my fave is the donut photo. Always the best bit if eating donuts is licking the sugar off your fingers and face!

I remembering playing the game where you had to eat the doughnut without licking lips. Then by the end there was so much sugar is was funny watching everyone lick their lips x

Oh pants, I wish I’d read this before writing my post as I would have also changed my post to say 53… guess that’s a job for next week then 🙂

These are both lovely pictures. I love Athena’s concentration painting her little tea set. We had something similar for our daughter when she was really young.

53 Mondays?! Oh, I’m not sure I can change mine. It just feels weird! I might just have to end with 53/52 or something. Thank you so much for featuring my photo this week, I’m really enjoying getting back into this project. Love your photos this week although now I really want a doughnut!

  23. January 14, 2018 / 9:25 pm

Now I really want a donut 🙂 I love the concentration on LP’s face too.

  24. January 15, 2018 / 2:45 am

Ah, I love Brighton. Haven’t been for such a long time though. He certainly looks to be enjoying that doughnut! I’m amazed at the lack of mess on LP’s painting table – I can only assume this was taken at the beginning of the activity because in our house it would look like a paint war had taken place at the end! xx

Little Man looks like he’s really enjoying that doughnut! We always used to see if we could eat a whole one without licking our lips! I never could! #Livingarrows
