Curtain ‘Boo’ {The Ordinary Moments}
There are some things that children do that are completely symbolic with childhood and one of those things is playing Peekaboo using a curtain to hide behind. There aren’t many places in our house where the children can play boo with the curtains but whenever we are on holiday or at someone else’s house and there’s a floor length, accessible curtain both the children love to hide behind it before jumping out and shouting boo!
I remember hiding behind our lounge curtains as a child and I know how excited I used to get when someone would play boo with me. Little Man and LP love to play boo with each other, taking it in turns to jump out and shout boo.
This is one of Little Man’s cheekiest moments, he has the cutest of faces and the glee shows completely when he says boo and his sister does a squeal of pretend fear – they love to act along with whatever the other one is doing and knowing that their sibling will always play along makes for an endless stream of excitement.
I know that LP and Little Man will love playing Peekaboo with curtains for years yet – I just hope that happy boo faces stay too!
Only my youngest will occasionally hide behind the curtains now, and he doesn’t say ‘boo’, it’s more likely a big RAWR!!! 😀
