Siblings {2014}

Our last Siblings post of the year. Where has this year gone? Our babies have grown so much over the last 12 months and their relationship as siblings has grown incredibly. Seeing them how they are now was something I had always dreamed of when I found out we were having a second child but at the start of the year, when parenting two children was still so hard, I couldn’t even imagine getting to where we are now.

LP and Little Man love each other. They love being around each other and Little Man wants to do everything that his sister is doing whether he is able to or not. He wants to eat what she eats, watch what she watches and play with her toys. He shares her drinks cups, steals her favourite dolls and climbs on her bed in the evening. When Little Man grows up he wants to be just like his sister.

LP loves Little Man and more and more she is kissing him, hugging him and trying to make him feel better on the rare occasions he is sad. She helps him all the time – passing him things, sharing with him and swapping toys with him if he has something she wants to play with. The times that she snatches from him or thinks everything is ‘mine’ are getting less and less. Our siblings are happy to now play with each other and it is a joy to watch and be a part of.

  1. Ah it’s so lovely to look back through a year of photos. Tiger is exactly the same with Cherry, she’s like his hero, it’s so sweet! It’s crazy to think how much harder things were a year ago, it’s so nice to have two children now instead of a toddler and a baby! x
