LP’s First Trip to the Cinema

Disclosure: We were invited on this day out for the purpose of this post however all opinions are my own.

Last weekend we were lucky enough to be invited along to a preview of Disney’s Star Wars Rebels: Spark of Rebellion, a movie special that launches the all-new animated television series launching on Disney XD later this month.

The event was organised by Subway who have teamed up with Disney UK & Ireland to offer a Star Wars Rebels branded Kids Pak in their stores – a 4 inch sub, Capri Sun, BEAR Fruit Yo-Yos and a Star Wars Rebels collectible bag and trading card. As well as being able to see the movie LP also had her own Kids Pak that she loved.

Having not taken LP to the cinema before I wasn’t sure what to expect but she sat on her seat for the start of the movie but as she’s quite small she found it hard to see so I sat her on my lap instead. She then sat back and watched the movie without a peep – She was engrossed! Dave has been teaching LP about Star Wars since she was born and although she has watched the Star Wars movies a few times I have never seen her as focused on anything as the Star Wars Rebels movie – We’ll definitely be watching the series when it launches!

A train and two tubes each way, our cinema excursion was definitely an adventure! LP loved it and the Subway crew even gave LP a balloon to take away with her – which she swiftly lost on the underground unfortunately.

Our day out was a great introduction to taking children to the cinema and I’m sure we’ll now be taking LP regularly in future. Thanks to Subway for a really lovely morning – We even had our photo taken with the stormtroopers!

  1. Aww, LP looks like she had a lot of fun. We loved going to the cinema before Toby was born – I’m looking forward to when he’s old enough to come with us.
