I love using fresh fruit in baking where possible and our latest bake was these easy strawberry flapjacks. They are a lovely twist on a classic plain flapjack but with the addition of lovely fresh chopped strawberries. Delicious!

Ingredients
150gmargarine or butter
150gsoft brown sugar
90mlgolden syrup
300gporridge oats
200gfresh strawberriescut into small pieces
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 160C/325F/Gas 3 and grease or line a suitable baking tin.
Put the margarine in a saucepan and melt over a low heat. Add the sugar and syrup, stirring until melted together.
Add the rolled oats and strawberries and stir until combined.
Spread the oat mixture onto the baking tray and bake for 30 minutes until golden brown.
Slice with a sharp knife whilst still warm and leave to cool completely in the baking tray.
