Apple Cinnamon Flapjacks Recipe

Flapjacks are some of our favourite things to bake at home. They’re super easy, the children love them and they can be varied with so many different flavours and fillings. Our latest bake are these easy Apple Cinnamon Flapjacks.

Ingredients

  • 150 g margarine or unsalted butter
  • 150 g soft brown sugar
  • 90 ml golden syrup
  • 300 g rolled porridge oats
  • 200 g dried apples cut into bitesize pieces
  • 1.5 tsp ground cinnamon

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 160C/325F/Gas 3 and grease a suitable baking tin.
  • Melt the margarine, sugar and syrup together in a large saucepan over medium heat.
  • When fully melted and well combined, add the rolled oat, dried apples and cinnamon and stir until combined.
  • Spread mixture onto the prepared tin or baking tray and bake for 25 minutes until golden brown.
  • Slice whilst still warm and leave to cool completely in the baking tray.
