Living Arrows – 41/52 {2017}

Welcome back to another week of Living Arrows. I am loving how many people have decided to make Living Arrows a part of their blogging routine for 2017, it is so lovely to have you all here.

If you haven’t joined in with Living Arrows before it’s is about celebrating childhood. The project originally took it’s name from a poem by Kahlil Gibran, “You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth” and every Monday we share a moment from our week and invite others to do the same as part of this linky.

Each week I share two pictures from our week – one of each of our children – but you can share one or more pictures that capture a moment of childhood. The following week I’ll share my three favourite photos from the week before, linking back to the owner’s blogs.

Also – something new here, I will be trying to resurrect the Living Arrows Instagram account! So, use #LivingArrows on Instagram and follow @LivingArrows_ and then I will share my favourite images each week – I’ll probably try and do one a day but we’ll see how I go! I’ll probably feature the previous week’s images the following week. Anyway, follow and use the hashtag and we’ll see what happens!

So if you would like to link up, grab a badge and post around a photo of childhood from the previous week. I look forward to reading your posts and make sure you visit a few of the other posts that have linked up and leave a comment too!

Here are a few of my favourite photos from last week:

Devon Mama

Hannah Tasker

Bubbablue and Me

This week’s photos were taken on Saturday when I took the children out for the day whilst Dave slept off one of his final night shifts. We went to a (pretty disappointing) pumpkin farm followed by a National Trust property and at both LP was obsessed with finding conkers. But, sadly, everywhere we look there are so many chestnuts but no nice big conkers anywhere. We shall just have to keep looking.

Little Man is so funny. He loves climbing on things, rubbing around, jumping and being a character. This photo pretty much sums him up at this point in his life.

  1. We are having the same problem with conkers, loads of chestnuts about but a distinct lack of conkers which is really strange. Little man looks full of energy, it’s impossible to get them to stand still for photo’s sometimes isn’t it. Have a great week x

  2. I have several photos of J on top of tree stumps, logs etc. Such a shame regarding the conkers – we generally miss every year but this year remembered to go out mid Sept and got quite a haul! Wishing you the best of luck x

  3. Thanks for including my post.

    We have tonnes of conkers – 1 large tree and 1 small at home – even the small one had a few this year. And there’s a few trees in our villages and various other villages. It’s just accessing them that aren’t on the verge. In contrast we never see sweet chestnut trees – except when we went to virginia water.

  4. We’ve got a great conker tree just near our house – Gabe and I collected loads last week 🙂 Love these photos though – they both always look so happy.
