Fork biscuits are such an easy treat to make. With just three ingredients, they can often be made with what you have in the fridge and the larder. They take just twenty minutes and are something the children love to have after school or on a weekend afternoon.

Ingredients
150gbutterat room temperature
75gcaster sugar
225gself raising flour
Instructions
Preheat oven 180C/350F/Gas Mark 4
Lightly butter or line two baking trays.
Put all the ingredients in a bowl and mix well with a wooden spoon to bring the mixture together to form a cookie dough.
Portion the mixture out using a spoon or scoop, roll into balls and place on the baking trays about 2 inches apart. We use a teaspoon to measure the mix out – a little goes a long way! You should end up with little walnut sizes dough balls.
Press each dough ball down gently with a fork.
Bake for 15-20 minutes in the preheated oven until the cookies have spread and are golden brown on top.
Leave to cool slightly before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
