Peanut Butter Cookies

These cookies are great as they are but would be equally good iced or half dipped in chocolate.

  • 250 g plain flour
  • 100 g muscovado sugar
  • 0.5 tsp baking powder
  • 70 g butter
  • 70 g golden syrup
  • 75 g peanut butter
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon milk


  • Preheat the oven to 170C/325F/Gas 3
  • Mix the flour, sugar and baking powder. Rub in the butter until it looks like breadcrumbs.
  • Mix together the egg, syrup, peanut butter and milk and add it to the dry mixture until a dough is formed.
  • Roll the dough out on a lightly floured surface and cut with a cookie cutter.
  • Places cookies on a baking tray and bake for 15 minutes or until lightly browned.
