Ginger Fairy Cakes Recipe
These Ginger Fairy Cakes have a real depth of flavour, with glace ginger and ground ginger, they're a warming, wholesome treat the whole family will love.
Servings: 18 cakes
- 300 g unsalted butter or margarine at room temperature
- 300 g brown sugar
- 4 tsp ground ginger
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 30 g golden syrup
- 300 g self raising flour sifted
- 3 eggs
- 100 g glacé ginger
Preheat oven to 200C/400F/Gas 7
Line a muffin tray with paper cases.
Put all the ingredients in a large bowl and mix well.
Spoon the mixture into the paper cases and bake for 20 minutes and golden brown.
Leave to cool and enjoy.
