Cheats Mincemeat Bread and Butter Pudding

A really hearty and warming dessert to enjoy over the festive season - or when you find leftover mincemeat in the cupboard!

Ingredients

  • 250 g sliced brioche loaf croissants, individual brioche etc
  • 200 g mincemeat
  • 400 g ready made custard

Instructions

  • Pre heat oven to 200C/400F/Gas 6
  • Put a layer of brioche in the bottom of an ovenproof dish or roasting tin
  • Spread over a generous spoonful of mincemeat and then add another layer of brioche, repeating until the dish is full.
  • Pour over the custard into a jug and add 100ml water. Mix well and then pour slowly over the brioche until it has all been soaked up.
  • Put the baking dish in the oven and bake for 30 minutes or until nicely browned.
  • Serve warm and enjoy.
