Slow Cooker Peppermint Candy Cane Fudge

This fudge is a twist on our classic white chocolate fudge and you can easily make it without candy canes, creating a simple but tasty peppermint fudge instead. It’s great to have as a Christmas dessert, to bag up and give as gifts or just to keep in the fridge to have as a sweet treat over the festive season.

Ingredients

  • 397 ml tin condensed milk
  • 600 g white chocolate – can be bars or sweet chocolate chips
  • 2 tbsp peppermint extract
  • 6 candy canes peppermint flavour

To decorate

  • 4 candy canes peppermint flavour

Instructions

  • Break the chocolate up and add to the slow cooker bowl with the sweetened condensed milk and vanilla.
  • Crush up the candy canes and add them to the slow cooker pot. We used a food processor to turn them into really small pieces, almost dust!
  • Turn the slow cooker on to high and leave to cook for 40 minutes with the lid off, stirring every ten minutes.
  • When thick and well combined, pour into a lined tin or silicone baking tray, add more crushed candy canes, and put in the fridge to set – preferably overnight.
