Easy Chocolate Cookies Recipe
This Easy Chocolate Cookies Recipe is such an easy biscuit recipe to bake with the children. You can cut the biscuits into any shapes you like and they are fun to decorate too.
Servings: 25 biscuits
Ingredients
- 250 g plain flour
- 30 g cocoa powder
- 200 g butter
- 100 g icing sugar
- 2 egg yolks
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 200C/400F/Gas 6. Grease two baking sheets
- Sift the flour and cocoa powder into a bowl. Rub the butter in until it looks like breadcrumbs
- Sift in the icing sugar and stir
- Stir in the egg yolks and vanilla until a dough forms
- Make the dough into a ball. wrap in cling film and chill for 30 mins until firm
- Put the dough on a lightly floured surface and roll to 0.5cm thick. Cut shapes out using cookie cutters.
- Place on the baking sheets and bake for 15 minutes before transferring to a cooling rack.
