Win with BabyLed Spreads!

*This is a collaborative post

When LP first started weaning we were set on going down the Baby Led Weaning route – and it was hands down the best choice we made since our parenting journey began. It was so much fun, LP loved it and it meant that she could eat pretty much what we ate from the start. But, we were always looking for things to cook with that had a low salt and sugar content, trying to keep the things she ate as natural but flavoursome as possible – so I wish BabyLed Spreads had existed back then.

BabyLed Spreads have created a range of spreads designed to be used in conjunction with food that babies would be eating anyway as part of the weaning process, enhancing the flavour of bread products and pastas but they can even be used as a readymade dip for vegetables or breadsticks. They contain no added salt as well as no artificial flavours colours or preservatives. There are both dairy and non-dairy varieties and the range includes six flavours like Ricotta & Bean, Avocado, Red Pepper & Tomato and Spicy Pumpkin & Chickpea.

The range of BabyLed Spreads would be a great addition to a child’s diet from weaning and all the way through the toddler years. They would be great spread on toast, stirred them through pasta or used as a jacket potato topper as well as being used as a meal ingredient – in risottos or as a pizza topping. It’s so hard to find healthy spreads and toppings as a parent so I really think BabyLed Spreads are a fantastic idea – and just wish they’d launched a few years sooner!

BabyLed Spreads are such a versatile product and unlike other baby foods they aren’t just designed for weaning – they would be a great cupboard staple, perfect for a quick dinner idea or a way of bringing more flavour and excitement into lunches for children 6 months and beyond – and I think LP and Little Man would have really enjoyed them all through the preschool years.

My little one loves sweet potato mash so the sweet potato and lentil would most likely be her favourite

Oh these look fab! I’m always looking for different things to put on toast and in finger sandwiches for our son. There’s only so much cream cheese, marmite or peanut butter you can serve up!
