Ah I did it again – I missed a week of little loves without even really realising it. That’s how busy life is here – each day and week just merge into the next. But here are a few things I’ve been loving this week:

I haven’t actually read much although I have a newfound love of Twitter and have been catching up on my Twitter timeline each evening. I never stopped loving Twitter, just found it hard to find the time to tweet. It’s nice that I’ve now made time for it again.

I watched First Dates Abroad and it just wasn’t the same as the UK one. The staff didn’t have as much personality and the dates were all just such weird people. Like Big Brother meets First Dates. I wasn’t keen.

I’ve also been ploughing on with Pretty Little Liars on Netflix and have nearly finished series two. I am willing the story to get moving as I know I still have another 5 series to watch!

Coldplay at Wembley! YES! Last Saturday Dave and I went to London for what has to be the best gig of my life to date. We have seen so many bands, and have seen Coldplay so many times and they never fail to put on a good show. It was like one huge party and we loved every minute. I shared some clips on my Instagram account if you want to take a look.

I had my hair in the tiniest pigtails last weekend. I’m trying to grow it and it’s at that stage where I can’t quite tie it up but I get too hot with it down. So I went for an old favourite way to have my hair – bunches! I may be 31 but you are never too old for bunches.

We’ve made a few things this week. I made Slow Cooker Fish Pie for dinner the other night which was a surprise hit with the whole family. Not our usually meal choice but something different and we all enjoyed it.

I’ve also been making Baker Ross crafts with the kids and we spent literally a whole afternoon making sand art postcards. So much fun – even for me!

and Lastly

This weekend I am off to Britmums Live. It’s my third year and I absolutely love the chance to catch up with so many friends, meet so many new ones and just have a really great time with other people like me. A huge thanks to Slim Fast for sponsoring me and if you see me please do come and say hello!

Have a wonderful weekend everyone!

  • We’re quite partial to a fish pie, although I’ve never tried one in the slow cooker before! Pleased you enjoyed Coldplay, although they’re not my kinda thing I know how much you love them!! You’re rocking the bunches ;o) xx

  • I have never thought of doing fish pie in the slow cooker. I knew a few people who saw Coldplay in Manchester a few weeks ago, who said they were amazing. Loved following your twitter feed yesterday at Britmums, it looked such a fun day and sorry you didn’t win your category (sad face) x

  • Ooh jealous of Coldplay.

I’m a pigtail wearer too (and Bjork style multiple buns – although that’s for drying my hair to make it curly before work not for wearing in public apart from morning club school drop off!). Pigtails are handy for dancing because my fringe is never long enough to put up and pony tails don’t stay in as well. They do make me look about 12 instead of nearly 40 though!

  • Love the pig tails! I agree never too old!!
I have heard Pretty Little Liers is good. Will have to check it out. Have a great week.
