Stamptastic Review

It’s that time of year where most parents are buying school uniform ready for September. This is our first year of preparing for the start of school and I was dreading buying the school uniform – and then having to label it all with LP’s name.

Review: Stamptastic

I remember well my mother spending so many Sunday evenings sewing name tags into my school clothes and I was dreading having to do that with everything that LP would take to school but when Stamptastic asked me to be an ambassador for them I was looking forward to seeing how Stamptastic could save us time in labelling LP’s school clothes.

Who are Stamptastic?

Stamptastic produce name stamps and stamp pads that let you stamp the child’s name into clothing. But that’s not all, Stamptastic can also be used to stamp your child’s name onto other belongings too as it works on wood, metal and some plastics too!

How did we find ordering from Stamptastic?

When I ordered the Stamptastic stamps the process was simple – just adding which text I would like on the stamp – this can be a child’s name but could also be a class name, phone number or anything else you might like stamped on things. It can be two lines of text and you can add a picture too as well as changing the font and font size.

The stamps and stamp pad arrived quickly and were well packaged. I love that you don’t always have to order a new stamp pad and could just buy new stamps when you need them, using the same stamp pad and saving money in the process.

The stamps are well made, with the text attached to a clear plastic block for easy positioning of the stamp. This really helps during the stamping process and makes stamping a lot easier.

How simple was the Stamptastic labelling process?

I sat down with all of LP’s uniform for next year and got to work stamping. I was expecting it to take longer than it did and really only took about fifteen minutes to stamp the whole lot. Her name came out clear and easily readable – and I loved that most clothing tags have a name space on them now. On some of the name tags there was a slight bleed of the ink but it dries incredibly quickly and was still easily readable.

We tested the stamped names in the washing machine and they all came out looking as good as new after an initial wash. Stamptastic say that they will last around fifty washes on most fabrics and to be honest, when they start to fade it takes seconds to stamp the name again.

I love how much time and energy Stamptastic has saved me and know that I will happily stamp the children’s names in clothes – and on everything else they take to school – for the foreseeable future.

Stamptastic Stamps have an RRP of £10.00 and Stamptastic Ink Pads have an RRP of £12.00

This is such a good idea. I am so rubbish at sewing this is no way in the world I will be sewing name tags into my son’s uniform. I go him stickers for his pre-school which has been pretty good actually, but weren’t cheap. I imagine this will work out cheaper in the long run.

I’ve been really impressed with our stamps too, Monkey’s uniform has been washed constantly since I stamped it all two months ago and the labels still look fab.
