Siblings {March 2019}

Oh what a month it has been for this pair. The weather has mostly been pretty awful – windy, rainy and just grey and dreary. But, in between the showers there have been so sunnier or just dry days that we’ve made the most of.

We went to Newquay for a weekend which the children really enjoyed. They got to spend time on the beach, walking along the coast and running around like crazy things and we even took them on a steam train on the way home. It was a really lovely weekend.

During half term we went to a farm that the children loved and learnt so much at too. There was playing, animals and even super fresh milk to enjoy at the end.

We met up with Mel for a day out at a country park and had such a nice day with the six children between us – until LP fell in the lake. But, these two played so nicely together – and with the other children – that it’s always just so nice to get out and about with them.

LP and Little Man got to ride their bikes for the first time in ages – something we really need to do more often. They really enjoyed having little races and their confidence improved massively. It’s our aim this summer to get rid of the stabilisers and get them riding bikes independently.

I know their highlight of the month was World Book Day which they got to dress up for at home as part of a blog collaboration and then again at school. Little Man ended up not wanting to be Captain Hook and went as Peter Pan instead as he didn’t like the idea of being a bad guy and would always much rather be a nice character. I think this says a lot about the kind of boy he is and I am so proud of the person he is becoming.

LP went as Mary Poppins and spent the day singing supercalifragilisticexpialidocious to everyone and offering them spoons full of sugar. I think they both had a really nice day.

So another month has come to a close. These two are still best buddies, they love each other immensely even though they have little tiffs at times and Little Man is officially taller than his sister too – by about two whole centimeters. I really hope they always stay this close, always looking out for each other, wanting to tell each other things first and wanting to share everything that happens to each other. I think they are as close as non-twin siblings can be and it makes me so happy to watch.
