Shopping for Mothers Day at Homesense

It’s that time of year where everyone thinks about Mums. In my case, I think about my wonderful mother in law and what a great mother and grandparent she is. I also take time to think about my own role as a mum and the job that I do.

It’s traditional to buy gifts for Mothers Day and as I have mentioned previously, Homesense is one of my favourite places to shop for gifts. Mothers Day is a great occasion to shop for as there is no traditional gift and you can buy the mother figures in your life pretty much anything – which makes Homesense perfect.

I went for a browse to find some Mothers Day gifts and could have actually spent so much – even though each item wasn’t very expensive at all. In the end I bought myself a collection of things perfect for Mothers Day.

Homesense have a great range of faux flowers and plants that make a great alternative to a typical bouquet – and last so much longer too. I love this little faux succulent and vase – it’s going in our new bathroom!

I also picked up a few pieces of stationery – a to-do list and memo pad, both of which have a magnet to attach to the fridge. I know most mums would appreciate something that not only keeps them organised but also looks pretty too! There was a great range of Emma Bridgewater stationery too – always a great gift!

One thing I have wanted for ages – and have bought as gifts for friends on countless occasions, is a teacup candle – and I finally have one. Homesense had so many different style cups and saucer candles but the plain white one was my favourite.

There was also a really good range of bath and body products – all beautifully presented to make them the perfect gift. From natural soaps to full gift sets. I picked up a set of hand lotion and soap that would make the perfect Mothers Day gift.

Lastly, just as I was about to pay I saw this gorgeous framed print of Mum’s Rules. It’s the sort of thing I love, fun and homely but the best bit? It only cost £4.99! Homesense has something for every Mum and you can guarantee it will all be easily affordable and great value.
