It has been a few months now since I stopped breastfeeding and this will be my first winter in a few years where I have been able to wear whatever clothes I like without having to worry about them being either suitable for pregnancy or breastfeeding. I can’t remember the last winter where I wore jumpers and have instead lived in easily accessible layers.
This year I am embracing jumpers, cardigans and long length tops in the hope of updating my wardrobe and investing in new clothes that will see me through a few winters. There are so many shops with beautiful winter wear at the moment but I keep finding myself coming back to Woolovers who are celebrating their 25th anniversary this year – 25 years of keeping people warm!
I’m on the look out for long length knits that I can wear with leggings or jeans, a new cosy hoodie for those lazy days or the school run and some nice jumpers that I can wear during the day or in the evening. There is something to be said for layering but for now I am looking forward to a winter full of wearing knitwear with a vest top underneath or even just a jumper.
What are your statement pieces for this winter? Have you got anything in your wardrobe that you can’t live without? I can feel a shopping spree coming on and a whole new winter wardrobe for me. I am also trying to add more colour into my wardrobe as I went through quite a while of wearing neutral natural tones – browns, beige, white, black… This winter I’m looking forward to wrapping up warm in as much colour as possible!
What are your plans for your winter wardrobe?
