Wicked Uncle Review

I am always looking for new places to buy gifts online and my latest find is Wicked Uncle. Although it doesn’t sound like your typical children’s gift store, Wicked Uncle arranges all it’s products by age and gender so that any relative or family friend can buy the perfect gift for a child without having to know what a certain age group like.

I was given credit to spend on the Wicked Uncle website to review their service and I spent literally hours browsing all the products. As LP and Little Man play with many of the same toys I decided to look at all products, rather than sort by age or gender, in the hope of finding products suitable for both or either of them. It was also great to get a feel for the whole product range at Wicked Uncle.

I was impressed by the quality of products at Wicked Uncle. Everything was from brands I knew well and have bought for the children in the past and in the end, being a fan of wooden toys, I chose three products from my favourite wooden toy brands – Melissa and Doug and Janod.

When ordering you have the option of adding gift wrap and a card, perfect for sending a gift direct to the recipient. The toys arrived really quickly and well packaged, getting to us in perfect condition.

The first product we chose was the Janod Magnetic Rocket which is something I have wanted for such a long time. Yes, I wanted it. Little Man loved making the rocket by putting the pieces together. It’s well made and looks beautiful sitting on the side when it’s all put together.

Next up, was the Melissa and Doug Dress Up Billy. Billy comes with lots of outfits so children can dress him in different costumes – a knight, policeman, superhero etc. The pieces are magnetic and stick in place really well – Little Man loved changing Billy’s clothes and making him into different people.

Lastly, we got a set of Janod Magnetic Letters which are perfect for having on the fridge. LP is learning to spell and read at the moment and these are great for helping her form words and they look great too. Like all Janod products they’re well made and long lasting.

I have been really impressed with the product range and service from Wicked Uncle and would definitely shop there again but more than that, I would definitely recommend Wicked Uncle to friends and family who aren’t sure what to buy for the children. Wicked Uncle makes shopping for children so easy – from birth to teenagers.

Aw you made great choices there! The boys chose a magnetic dartboard as one of their review items ages ago, it’s brilliant!

We have letter fridge magnets too, they’re great for learning letters aren’t they? I love that rocket too, I’m not surprised you wanted it 😉
