I love finding ways that the children can play easily together, where their age differences doesn’t show and where they can just have fun. So when Bigjigs sent us the Rubbabu Bowling Set to review it looked like just the thing to keep LP and Little Man entertained together.
Rubbabu products are really lovely and soft, squishy and so lovely to touch. They’re great for any age and LP and Little Man both loved the feel of the bowling set immediately. The bright colours were really appealing to them and they chose their favourites. It would have been nice to see more of a range of colours as half of the skittles were blue – a pink, purple of yellow would have been nice.
The skittles stand up easily and don’t wobble. Even the children find them easy to line up. The bowling ball has three indentations for the children to grip it easily with their fingers and this is such a lovely detail which makes bowling so much easier for them.
LP and Little Man loved learning to bowl and the ball was heavy enough to knock down the skittles but soft enough not to damage anything if played indoors. These would be the perfect game to play both indoors and out.
But Little Man also enjoyed lining the skittles up and making different patterns with them showing that they have many more play options than just a game of skittles. The ball can be played with independently too and both the children enjoyed playing catch with it – as well as hiding it around the house for the other one to find!
The Rubbabu Bowling Set is a great addition to our play room and one I know will bring the children enjoyment for years to come. It’s one of many beautiful, well made and tactile toys from Rubbabu and I know I’ll be on the look out for more in the future.
The Rubbabu Bowling Set has an RRP of £24.99
