I absolutely love finding new companies to shop with especially ones that are different, individual and funky. Rockabye-Baby is just that. I have seen Rockabye-Baby clothing occasionally in the past – online, at baby shows and in boutique shops and every time I’ve seen it I have loved it! Well the people at Rockabye-Baby gave me the opportunity to do a review for them and give you guys a chance to win something from their store too!
Rockabye-Baby sell edgy designs for children up to 7-8 years and there is something for everyone. The brand is rocky and original and you can tell not only from the clothing but by the packaging and even the tags on the clothes that Rockabye-Baby is very much as they say ‘inspired by music and pop culture with slightly anarchistic roots in punk’. The record sleeve packaging that items get sent in is a quirky idea that I love – a sneak peak of the product can be seen through the middle and the sleeve gives an insight to the brand. I’m a huge fan of unusual packaging!
Rockabye-Baby sent both LP and LM pieces to review through the post and I loved them as soon as I saw them! Both items got sent in the record sleeve packaging and I couldn’t wait for them both to try their new clothes on!
Rockabye-Baby sent Little Man an Elvis Sleepsuit which was super cute! The sleepsuit is made of really good quality, thick cotton with a good amount of stretch in it. LM is 7 months and the sleepsuit fits really well in a size 6-9 months, there’s still some growing room in it as I’d expect so I’d say the sizes are average.
The Elvis Sleepsuit is available in white or black and has ‘The King’ written on the reverse as well as stars on the soles of the feet. It’s such a fun outfit and sums up Rockabye-Baby’s thoughts that kids are born to rock! Each item of clothing also has the Rockabye-Baby logo on the back and a Rockabye-Baby logo tag somewhere on a seam.
LP was also sent a new top from Rockabye-Baby, a Foxy Fox Tee, which was equally as funky and different as the Elvis sleepsuit! LP’s top has a mock layer effect where the red edging feels like a separate layer. The top is made from the same thick, great quality cotton – as are all Rockabye-Baby products and I loved the unusual picture on the top – A fox with an eye patch – definitely not something you see every day! The colours are typical of Rockabye-Baby’s style too – The bright red, black and white – bold colours rather than typical pastels and muted tones.
The top fitted LP with a bit of growing room which is the same with all of her 2-3 year clothes at the moment – She’s 27 months and a dinky little thing! LP commented on the Foxy Fox Tee, ‘nice’ and ‘new clothes’ – I love hearing her speak! She also thought the Fox was a Dog but to be honest I don’t think she’s ever come across a fox before! Overall LP’s top and Little Man’s Elvis outfit both got a big thumbs up from all of us.
Rockabye-Baby may not be a company you’ve heard of but once seen, never forgotten. If you have a browse of their online store you’ll be sure to find something you like – and check back often as like all clothing retailers there’ll be new things popping up all the time.
Disclosure: We were sent the above items for the purpose of the review however all opinions are my own.
