OXO Tot Twist Top Water Bottle Review

Disclosure: We were sent the featured products for the purpose of this post however all opinions are my own.

LP has recently started using an open topped cup to drink from at meal times and we were looking to upgrade her sippy/straw cups to ones without valves for her to use around the house and out and about during the day. The lovely people at OXO Tot were kind enough to send me an OXO Tot Twist Top Water Bottle to try out which is one of many water bottles for kids on the market.

What’s the OXO Tot Twist Top Water Bottle like?

The OXO Water Bottle has a twist top lid that covers the straw when not in use to keep the straw clean and the lid prevents spills. It also has a non slip carrying loop handle, a good size 300ml capacity, is BPA free and dishwasher safe.

The OXO Tot Twist Top Water Bottle comes in three colours – Aqua, Raspberry and Green. I really like the fact that there is a gender neutral option rather than just the typical pink and blue.

How is LP finding the OXO Tot Twist Top Water Bottle?

LP has been using the Water Bottle for a couple of weeks now and overall she’s loving it! The twist top and handle are made of soft material which is easy for her to grip and we’ve found we can attach the bottle to the pushchair using the carry handle to avoid it being dropped and lost while out and about. We have found the Water Bottle easy to clean – it’s dishwasher safe and comes apart really well for thorough cleaning. LP found the straw easy to drink from and loved the way the straw went out of sight – even playing Peekaboo with it! The lid is a fantastic feature to prevent spills and the large opening means the straw can move easily.

Are there any negatives to the OXO Tot Water Bottle?

The only negative of the childs water bottle at the moment is that LP finds it hard to twist the top of the bottle herself. The Water Bottle is aimed at age 2+ and LP is just shy of that at 23 months, she is also very small for her age. I’m sure when she is slightly bigger she’ll be able to turn the lid without any problems and most children over the age of two wouldn’t have a problem with it. This is a great alternative to stainless steel water bottles and kids will love it. If you’re looking for reusable water bottles for your children this would be a great option.

If you have this bottle you can get a oxo tot twist top water bottle replacement straw set here.
