Megableu Giraf’fun Game Review

LP and Little Man love playing board games now and Megableu sent us their Giraf’fun game to review Little Man loved it immediately – saying that the giraffe figures were cute and excited to start playing.

The game board has holes around it to hold fruit balls and there are spaces where giraffe hats are kept but the main part of the board is the jungle toilet in the centre. The sides fold up on this – although it’s a bit hit and miss on whether they’ll stay up – and there’s a working pedal on it too.

The game is played by rolling a dice and moving a giraffe figure around the board. Each one is colour coded and instead of rolling a number sometimes a toilet roll is rolled – where you move to the toilet in the centre of the board.

Moving around the board you can stand on any fruit in your path which makes the giraffe’s neck grow longer but when you land on the toilet and roll the dice again the giraffe will then expel the fruit or, if you’re unlucky enough to roll a second toilet roll, fruit will explode across the board.

If you manage to fill your giraffe with fruit you then have to make your way to the relevant coloured space where your giraffe’s hat is and then find your way back to the start. It’s a bit of a strange concept for a game – I’m unsure why the giraffes would be using the toilet one minute and hunting for a hat the next – but the children enjoyed it and it’s quite a fast paced game great for family fun. I would have loved there to be a resealable bag to store all the fruit in but apart from that it’s a great game for all the family.

Disclosure: We were sent the above game for the purpose of this review however all opinions are my own.

Oh I keep reading about you all playing board games and thinking I need to get some for my girls. This does seem a bit of an odd concept but I’m sure the kids would love it!
