Review: Green Toys Cookware and Dining Set

The children were sent the Bigjigs Green Toys Cookware and Dining Set to review and I couldn’t wait to upgrade our existing dated play kitchen accessories. Green Toys products are made from 100% recycled milk cartons and unlike other plastic toys they are really environmentally friendly – and best of all they come with hardly any packaging except for a recycled cardboard box.

The Cookware and Dining Set includes a cooking pot and lid, frying pan and enough plates, cutlery, bowls and cups for four people. All of the pieces are really nicely coloured – not too bright making them fit in well with any play kitchen.

Little Man and LP love the new set of cookware and have been cooking for each other – and us – constantly since they arrived. The products all meet food safety standards and are dishwasher safe so children could even use them for a real tea party if they wanted.

Little Man spent a whole day making meals for us using the dining set – making us breakfast, lunch and dinner using the cookware in the play kitchen. He really loved the new set and found it just the right size to hold as well as being a lot more true to life than other cookware sets we have had in the past.

The Cookware and Dining Set can be used both indoors and out and I know when the summer is finally here both LP and Little Man will be cooking using this set outside in their playhouse. Each piece is really hardwearing that there’s no worry of it getting damaged either inside or in the garden.

Green Toys products are build to last and I know that we won’t need any other cookware for their play kitchen. The Cookware and Dining Set would be a great toy for any child to play with and LP has already asked if she can do the washing up with them too!

The Green Toys Cookware and Dining Set has an RRP of £34.99

Disclosure: We were sent the above product for the purpose of this review however all opinions are my own.

We have the same kitchen as you 🙂 It’s the most used kitchen ever, both my girls play with it every day. These cooking and dining set look fab, I love the colours and they go really well with the kitchen too. How brilliant that they are made from recycled milk cartons, what a win win. I hope LP and little man have loads of fun with them x

Love the look of these! The boys have got some really tiny kitchen pieces and find them quite fiddly to play with, but these look nice and big, so I might invest when they’re a bit more into their roleplaying. They don’t have a kitchen yet either (we’re hopefully going to get one this summer) and these look like they’d make a good addition! x

We had this set at the crèche I used to work in, I was always saying what a great set it was but I’d never seen it in the shops. So glad I know where to get it from now!

We have the Chefs set in this range and after nearly 2 years of play the pieces still look as good as new. i’m such a big fan of Green Toys – lovely items. Enjoy the cooking!

Oooh, I really love this cooking set! I love that they’re made from recycled milk cartons, that they have hardly any packaging except recycled and recyclable cardboard and that they are food grade safe and dishwasher proof. They’ve really thought of everything and I’ll definitely be scouting out their range as I didn’t know it existed. I hope we get something to try!

I love the Green Toys – the texture and warmth of the recycled plastic is so much kinder than most plastic toys. We have this set and I think it’s been used for picnics and snacks at least as much as for pretend! 😀
