I was given the opportunity recently to review a pair of shoes from the Gabor range from Charles Clinkard. There were so many styles of shoe to choose from that I decided it would be best to choose a pair of shoes for my imminent return to work.
I decided on the Melton Court Shoes as I wanted something black and with a small heel but still comfortable enough to wear when on my feet all day. The Gabor Melton Court Shoes looked perfect ans they arrived within a couple of days.
What are the Gabor ‘Melton’ Court Shoes like?
The Gabor Melton add an adorable twist to the classic court shoe. Lined with soft leather with leather in-socks, comfort is ensured throughout wear. The Gabor Melton has a 50mm stack effect block heel. These shoes feature leather uppers in a choice of black or ocean blue, with, a round toe completed with a delicate bow trim. Incorporating Gabor’s ‘Best Fitting’ technology, they offer the wearer a little more room to alleviating pressure points, without adjusting the overall size.
How well did the Gabor ‘Melton’ Court Shoes fit?
I have never found it easy buying shoes – I have wide feet and usually when shoes fit me they will still rub at the heel or pinch at the toes – Finding appropriate styles has at times been a complete nightmare. As soon as I put the Gabor Melton shoes on they felt comfortable, as comfortable as slippers. Considering I haven’t really worn heels since having LP nearly three years ago, I found the heel comfortable and easy to walk in at the perfect height.
The back of the shoe doesn’t rub at all and is actually kept away from my heel without the shoe slipping at all – The shoes stay on my feet perfectly with no rubbing or pinching. I haven’t had shoes this comfortable in an incredibly long time, if ever.
Charles Clinkard have been providing high quality footwear for 90 years and sell many well regarded brands. They are definitely somewhere I would buy from again in the future and Gabor will definitely be a brand I will keep a look out for.
The Gabor Melton Court Shoes have an RRP of £79.99.
Disclosure: I was given credit to purchase the above shoes for the purpose of this review however all opinions are my own.
