LP absolutely loves Frozen. It’s been a constant in her life for a few years now and whenever we watch the movie or hear one of the Frozen songs she gets so excited. So when the new Frozen Northern Lights Elsa Doll turned up to review LP was pretty happy and couldn’t wait to play with it. It is pretty much the dream singing Elsa doll for children and one of a vast range of Frozen toys.
When the toy is in the box it plays demo songs and lights up like any other display toy. However, when you take it out the box you have to add batteries to the snowflake light part as it’s set up in the box to all run from Elsa’s batteries. This is a bit annoying as I’d expected it to come with batteries.
But, once we’d added three AAA batteries to the snowflake light LP was able to start playing with the singing Elsa doll. There are two play modes – the demo mode and the interactive mode which is the preferred setting as well as an off option. It would be nice if a volume control was also included.
The Frozen Northern Lights Elsa Doll sings songs and says phrases from the movie. The Frozen doll also lights up in a range of colours to match the snowflake light. LP was able to control the magic of the lights by waving her hand over the snowflake and she loved being in control and seeing what the Elsa doll would say or sing next.
We did find the interactiveness slightly hit and miss but LP didn’t mind – she had an Elsa doll that lit up and sang songs and a snowflake light that changed colour. She was beyond happy! The snowflake light also works as a night light, going off by itself after a few minutes but cycling through colours whilst on.
LP absolutely loves her Frozen Northern Lights Elsa Doll and it fits in well with her other Frozen toys – she feels like Christmas has come early. It’s a beautiful doll, looks very much like Elsa from the movie and would make a wonderful gift this Christmas.
The Frozen Northern Lights Elsa Doll has an RRP of £39.99
