Dorothy Perkins Dresses from House of Fraser Review

Ever since I discovered leggings a few years ago I have had a bit of a style of my own. I wear leggings, boots and tunic tops or dresses pretty much all the time – unless I’m having a jeans day. I feel both comfortable and feminine in leggings and dresses but hadn’t bought any new dresses for quite a while when I found some I loved at House of Fraser.

I love how department stores let you shop from your favourite brands under one roof and my two new dresses are both from Dorothy Perkins – although through House of Fraser. I love Dorothy Perkins quality – and price – and I know that anything I buy from there will be long lasting, hard wearing and it usually fits me perfectly too – one of my favourite shops by far.

As I’m only 5ft 3 most dresses are quite long on me, which I prefer and the skater style dresses have a cut that works well with my body shape. The lace trim dress is lovely and blue although I tend to team it with black leggings for a bit of a contrast. I love the floral print and the lace edges make it lovely and girly. It also fits really well and gives a nice swish too when I move.

My other dress has a pompom trim – with really tiny pompoms along the edges. It has a mix of blues, reds and black in the bold print and again fits so well! It’s a skater style dress which flicks out nicely in the skirt.

Both dresses have a nice mix of cotton and elastane, giving them a slight stretch and making them a really flattering shape. They are cut really nicely and I love wearing them – whatever the occasion!

Both dresses have an RRP of £20.00 each.

We have a very similar ‘uniform’ and I like both of those, the lace edging is a nice touch too isn’t it. Great prices.

They really suit you! I can’t wear skater dresses, they just don’t flatter my shape at all.

You look lovely Donna and they really suit you. When I am not pregnant I like a skater dress style as well as I feel like they suit me more than any other type of dress. x

They are lovely dresses and really suit you. I love that you can shop under one roof too, especially if I have my girls with me, it makes life easier and quicker to shop. x

They look lovely and the shape certainly suits you. I wish I could wear leggings – my legs are too chunky to do so, so I rarely wear dresses. Although I must get one out with my knee length boots because I do want a change from trousers for work.

You look lovely in both dresses, I love to shop in DP’s and always find something I like in there, I didn’t know that House Of Fraser stocked DP clothes though. Handy as I tend to shop for the whole family in House of Fraser xx

Ooh, these dresses look lovely. I really like the leggings and dresses look, although I’m not really sophisticated enough to pull it off, I’m more of a jeans, hoodies and trainers type person myself.x

Both dresses look lovely on you Donna – I especially like the lace trim one. I should probably wear dresses more but I’m too much of a jeans girl I think!
