I love food and I love having a treat every so often. Along with this I have a mini obsession with kitchen gadgets. So you can imagine how I felt when I was offered the opportunity to review an ice cream maker! Not your typical electrical ice cream maker though, The Chill Factor Ice Cream Maker – So much more quirky and fun than a plug in contraption!

What is the Chill Factor Ice Cream Maker like?
The Chill Factor Ice Cream Maker is in the shape of an ice cream cone and looks great! You have to put the ‘cone’ part of the ice cream maker in the freezer and when it’s frozen you add cream and flavouring – or yogurt and flavouring for a healthy frozen low fat option. The lid has a handy measuring gauge on the inside so that you can easily add the right amount of ingredients.

How do you make ice cream with the Chill Factor Ice Cream Maker?
When everything is safely inside, you put the lid back on, shake the ice cream maker to mix the ingredients, take the little top lid off and squeeze the ice cream cone until you cannot squeeze any more. This does take some work, and I have no idea how it works, but eventually you’re left with Chill Factore ice cream! We tried yogurt and the outcome was very much super cold yogurt rather than ice cream but we put the diet aside for an evening and tried it with cream instead. We added caramel sauce and chocolate chips and the outcome was lovely soft scoop ice cream for dessert!

How much ice cream does the Chill Factor Ice Cream Maker make?
The portion size isn’t huge but great for a child and the ice cream maker even comes with a spoon so you can eat it straight from the maker. The best things about this ice cream maker is how convenient it is – It just sits in your freezer until you need it. If our children were slightly older it would be exciting for them to make their own ice cream too. Such a novelty and one of those life hacks too! The Chill Factor Ice Cream maker would make a great gift for a child at any time of the year.
The Chill Factor Ice Cream Maker has an RRP of £14.99.

This sounds awesome! I love icecream but have no control and always eat the whole tub so this would be great just to make a small portion.
