Little Man absolutely loves trains and so we are huge fans of Brio in our house – but their range includes so much more than just trains and track. Brio World has literally a whole world of play for children of any age and Little Man was lucky enough to be sent their Brio Airport with Control Tower to review.

The Brio Airport with Control Tower includes the main control tower, an aeroplane, two characters, luggage and a warning light – that even lights up. Little Man immediately loved the aeroplane and was excited to act out his own airport adventures with it.

The whole play set is well made, partly from wood and mostly from plastic. It’s a set that is built to last – as we’ve come to expect with Brio products – and it’s nicely durable, wipe clean and perfect for little hands to play with.

The airport incorporates a luggage handling system with a working lift and slide. Little Man loved this part and really enjoyed sending suitcases up in the lift and then down to slide to be transported onto the plane.

The set comes with two characters – a baggage handler and a pilot – who bend to sit and have moveable arms too. There’s also a warning light to make sure everyone knows when the plane is coming in to land which turns off by itself.

The plane opens up to show three spaces inside – for people or luggage – and is a great size for flying around the room. Little Man has already played out so many holiday games using the airport, control tower and aeroplane and I am sure there are many more role play adventures to come.

Little Man loves the Airport with Control Tower and will happily play with it by itself however, he also loves to make a huge train track with the airport as the central focus, making the set a great expansion for any train fan. The train stops right outside the airport, making it so true to life – a great addition to any city with great transport links.

The Brio Airport with Control Tower is a fantastic play set that would be a great addition to any wooden train collection but also works perfectly as a standalone toy too. It’s well made and built to last – a toy that really will last years and can be passed down to future generations. It’s a really lovely addition to the Brio World range.

The Brio Airport with Control Tower has an RRP of £59.99
