Little Man absolutely loves Blaze and the Monster Machines so when we were sent the Monster Dome Playset to review he was beyond excited. The playset had really good instructions to help put it together and he was playing with it in no time.

The Monster Dome Playset comes with Blaze and Crusher vehicles who each have their own colour coded section of track to race on. The complete playset can be configured in lots of different ways to have different play options and increase the use of the playset however, Little Man was happy with it in the initial set up – which also took up the least amount of space.

With the Monster Dome Playset Little Man was able to make the two cars race and jump but the set would be great for friends of siblings to race against each other. The idea is that the cars start at one end and you hit the launcher to propel the cars around the course. The set is great at teaching momentum and Little Man soon learnt that the harder he hit the launcher the further – and faster – the car would go around the track.

Although the playset is aimed at children aged three and over Little Man did find it hard to hit the launcher hard enough to make the cars go around the track – doing the jump or making their way fully around the loop the loop. But, he found he could step on the launcher with more force which helped the cars go round – not the best way to use the Monster Dome Playset but it had the desired result!

Any child will love this playset regardless of whether they are a Blaze and the Monster Machines fan – but if they’re a fan they will love it even more. Little Man has played with it constantly since it arrived and LP loves it too. Here’s a little video to show the playset in motion:
