Review: Bigjigs Magnetic Weather Board

LP absolutely loves learning new things and she learns best when she has something visual to use to put that learning into practice. Our latest review product from Bigjigs was their Magnetic Weather Board and I knew it would be a great way to teach LP more – but not just about the weather.

The Bigjigs Magnetic Weather Board is about so much more than just the weather. It is a whole calendar and clock in one and has been made to last years – going all the way up to 2021.

LP loves that the Magnetic Weather Board reinforces things she already knows – like the different types of weather – but it also helps her learn things she is already aware of but gets in the wrong order – days of the week and the seasons.

The Magnetic Weather Board also has the date – separated into day, month and year and activities so you can add to the board an activity that you have done each day from school to football.

LP has promised to update the Magnetic Weather Board every day and so far she has been true to her word. She loves looking out the window to see what the weather’s like and trying to remember which day of the week comes next.

The Magnetic Weather Board is a great resource to help children learn but the bright colours and durable pieces make it perfect for little hands and a great addition to any family home. The clock’s hands can be turned to show when the map was last updated and it features all the times of a 24hr clock too – another great learning piece.

LP and Little Man both love the new Magnetic Weather Board and we are looking for a place to hang it where the children can update it every day. It’s something that I know will feature in our home indefinitely and would make a wonderful gift for any child – or family.

The Magnetic Weather Board has an RRP of £16.49

Oh I really like this idea. Libby is learning about days and months at the moment and this sounds like a good way to combine her learning about those with learning about the weather.

Oh I just love toys like this, I bought one for Lucas but timed it all wrong as the twins got on the move and we lost a lot of the pieces. It might be safe to get one again soon! I’d like it for myself as much as the kids 😉 xx
