Redhead Roundup – Health and Beauty {June 2016}

Disclosure: We were sent the featured products for the purpose of this post however all opinions are my own.

As a family we love trying new health and beauty products. Here are a few things we’ve been trying since our last update:

I love getting new products for the children to try and when Mustela sent us their range in lovely sample sizes it was the great opportunity to try something new.

The samples included No Rinse Cleansing Water which is great for using when top and tailing from birth onwards. The Mustela Dermo-Cleansing has been used instead of our typical body washes when the children have had a bath and it smells lovely! It leaves their skin clean but hydrated, not at all dry. It also has a tear-free formula and is suitable from birth onwards.

The Hydra Bebe Body Lotion has been fantastic after LP’s swimming lessons. It’s goes nicely into the skin and a little goes a long way without leaving the skin greasy and is also suitable from birth. We’ve loved using Mustela products and just wish we’d discovered them sooner – they would have been amazing to use when the children were tiny.

Solero Sun Cream

When it comes to sun protection I am pretty much paranoid and like to try as many products as possible to get the best solution for protecting our families skin over the summer. Lloyds Pharmacy sent us their new Solero sun care range to try out and we’ve been using it since it arrived.

The sun lotions come in both standard squeeze bottles and sprays so there’s an option for whatever your preference. The Solero Ultra Sensitive range the first ever sun protection for people with eczema, psoriasis and sensitive skin. Plus they have a new range specifically for children and a specific product for babies too.

The Solero Triple Defence is the first triple protection sun cream protecting from UVA, UVB and Infrared-A (IR-A) at an affordable price. All of the products come in a range of SPFs and go all the way up to 50+ – perfect for the kids and I with our fair skin!

The lotion goes on well, doesn’t leave our skin greasy and works well too. It has after sun lotion to compliment the sun lotion and both work well to give your sun protection and then moisturising care throughout the day.

Back in April I went to a lovely brunch in London with Skinfix. Skinfix have launched a brand new baby product range that really is gentle enough for babies that have dry, sensitive or eczema-prone skin.

The range is free of fragrance, steroids, tree nut and peanut ingredients and the regimen is formulated with natural emollient oils, soothing botanicals and vitamins to gently cleanse, moisturise and protect baby’s sensitive skin from head to toe. This makes it perfect for babies and children with nut allergies too – something I hadn’t even thought of before our brunch.

Skinfix’s Gentle Baby Regimen range includes Gentle Eczema Balm, Skinfix Gentle Hair & Body Wash, Skinfix Gentle Lotion and Skinfix Nappy Balm. As you can see, Skinfix have thought of everything with this new range!

We have also been trying the original Skinfix Soothing Wash and Skinfix Soothing Lotion which are the perfect addition to any bathroom or kitchen sink. As parents we wash our hands all the time and this wash and lotion don’t dry out my skin and leave my hands feeling so soft although both the wash and lotion are suitable for the whole body so could be used instead of a typical body wash and moisturiser.

ArbonnePure Vibrance ColourLast Hair Serum

I have been looking for a hair serum for ages. One that doesn’t leave my hair greasy but calms it down, protects it and stops it getting flyaway. Arbonne sent me their Pure Vibrance ColourLast Hair Serum and I have been using it every time I have washed my hair.

The Arbonne Serum controls frizz, protects from styling damage, and adds vitality as well as stopping colour from fading in coloured hair. You only need one squirt of the pump to have enough serum for my hair making it a really long lasting product. Since using it my hair has been smoother, glossier and more easy to manage. I use it on damp hair before blow drying or straightening and now can’t imagine not using it. A definite improvement to my hair routine.

Arbonne Pure Vibrance Lustre Fortifying Shampoo

I’ve also been using the Arbonne Pure Vibrance Lustre Fortifying Shampoo. It’s so much thicker than other shampoos I’ve used in the past but a little goes a really long way. Other cleansing shampoos I’ve used have left my hair feeling dry and looking dull but this one cleanses whilst keeping my hair full of shine and feeling healthy. It’s a really great product that I’ve been happy to use whenever my hair needs washing.

Ooh some fab recommendations, and I know a little acorn that would love the colourfast hair serum!

Did you write a review for a children’s deodorant a while ago? Could you remind me of the brand or name? Thanks
