Here are a few health and beauty products we’ve been using over the last few weeks – mainly suncream products, perfect for our fair skinned family!

SunSense Kids

I have never heard of SunSense before but having used the SunSense Kids SPF 50+ lotion for the last few weeks I am already a fan. It’s perfect for all skin types and I have been using it on both myself and the children. It applies really well and doesn’t leave a greasy finish as well as being water resistant for up to four hours.

I’ve loved using SunSense Kids and I’ll be trying out their roll on too – applying suncream couldn’t be easier!

QV Skincare Gentle Wash

The QV Skincare range is made up of emollients that soothe and protect against irritation caused by dry skin conditions such as eczema and psoriasis. Over the last couple of months we’ve been using the QV Skincare Gentle Wash mainly as a hand and face wash in the bathroom and it’s mild enough for the whole family.

The Gentle Wash is a really nice cleanser that leaves skin feeling fresh and clean without drying it out and even removes make up – perfect for busy family life. It’s great for sensitive skin and the children love using it although I would have rather had it in a pump action bottle so they could dispense it themselves – although the larger size bottles do have a pump attached.

Garnier Ambre Solaire Anti-Sand Spray

We’ve all been there. Trying to rub suncream in on the beach and having our arms and legs exfoliated harshly by the sand. It’s not nice as an adult and even less so for children so Garnier Ambre Solaire have created an Anti-Sand spray which has special sand-repelling properties which allow sunscreen to be absorbed without sand sticking to the skin.

The Spray works as a light mist which is just so easy to apply and protects the children from the sun without leaving the sand stuck to their skin. This really is a great product for beach days and holidays – although we’ve loved using it in the garden too as the kids spend all day at the sand table!

Garnier Ambre Solaire Wet Skin Lotion

Another problem with anyone wanting sun protection when on holiday is having to dry yourself off thoroughly before reapplying suncream but that’s all about to change. The Garnier Ambre Solaire Wet Skin Lotion is perfect for when kids are in and out of the water all day. The formula make it water-resistant, giving children long lasting sun protection on all of those wet and wonderful beach or swimming days.

This really is a fantastic product and I think Garnier Ambre Solaire have solved two of the biggest suncream issues that I had as a parent. Being able to reapply suncream as soon as the children have got out of the sea or pool is amazing – rather than getting them dry and then forgetting to reapply.

FrezyDerm Infant Sun Care

I had never heard of FrezyDerm before but have loved using their Infant Sun Care with the children. It’s SPF50+ which is our go-to SPF for the children and it’s water resistant too. The Infant Sun Care is free of pretty much everything – parabens, perfume, colour and SLS – making it perfect for even a baby’s skin.

The FrezyDerm Infant Sun Care was really easy to apply and a little went a long way. It also left the children’s skin feeling really nice and moisturised – as well as protecting them from the sun.
