Ready for the New Season with Cotton Traders

This is one of my favourite times of the year. Not just because my birthday is around the corner but because I love the changing of the seasons, the colours and the nights drawing in.

The feel of autumn coming is just lovely. All the leaves changing colour, the days getting greyer, willing you to spend time indoors snuggled up with a blanket and a good book and the knowledge that you can happily spend time binge watching a TV series, watching movies together or playing games at home without missing a huge amount outside.

But one of my favourite things about this time of year is being able to wear more layers, live in boots and throw on big jumpers or wrap yourself in cardigans. I always treat myself to a few new pieces for my wardrobe at this time each year and have loved browsing the Cotton Traders new arrivals.

Leggings and jeggings are an autumn staple for me as I love how easy they are to wear with boots. Just shove your feet in and off you go! But, my new Floral Lace-Up Boots are some of the nicest I have ever had. With zip sides, they are easy to put on and take off and go with pretty much any outfit.

I’ve also got a lovely new Stripe Jumper which is super soft, a great colour and the sort of thing you can add layers under on chillier days. It’s a jumper for all occasions – relaxing at home or going out. A jumper for whatever the weather.

It’s so nice to get my wardrobe ready for the colder, shorter days. I can’t wait to split my time between cosy days at home and outdoor adventures, kicking up leaves and going in search of the best hot chocolate.

The years seem to pass by more quickly as each one passes and yet I am never disappointed to find myself, once again, on the cusp of autumn. It’s the start of the countdown to Christmas, the final chunk of the year, and a time of year that always brings me joy.
