LP was recently sent the Miles Kelly Read and Play Princess set to review and I knew she would love it immediately. The Read and Play sets contain so much to keep any child entertained – a story book, activity book, jigsaw, board games and even an activity scene and characters.
LP loved that the box turned into a scene for her to act out stories with freestanding characters. It was all so well made and let LP use her imagination, making the Princess ride the dragon and then making him fly around the room.
On the other side of the box are two board games – Ludo and Checkers. The children are a bit young for these at the moment – crying when their Checkers pieces get taken off the board – but they are such great games for children that I know they’ll love in the future.
The jigsaw is fantastic, a really nice size, great quality and the first circular jigsaw that the children have had. Little Man stole it – as he loves jigsaws at the moment – and really enjoyed the new challenge of a round jigsaw.
LP loved the activity book, with full colour pages and so many different activities from dot to dots to mazes and colour by numbers. There was so much for her to do and it’s the kind of book she can just keep coming back to as it’s so well made and so full of things for her to enjoy.
The storybook was also a really lovely edition and something that will be in our bookcase for such a long time. It’s such a nice book and as well made as any other picture book you would buy. LP loved the story, loved the characters and it was beautifully illustrated too.
All of the game pieces and characters for the activity scene store nicely back in the box when you have finished playing – along with the jigsaw and books. It’s a really nice set that has so much to keep children entertained and would be perfect for taking on holidays or weekends away. It would also make a fantastic gift.
The Read and Play sets come in two different varieties – Princess or Dinosaur and have an RRP of £14.99
