Our extension is now in full swing and within the next couple of months we should have a shiny new kitchen installed. We’ve been spending time choosing new appliances, working out a colour scheme and even buying new tea towels but one thing we hadn’t thought about was our kitchen bin.
Brabantia have always been the name when it comes to kitchen bins as far as we’re concerned and when we bought our first home in 2006 we bought a duck egg blue Brabantia bin for the kitchen. Now, with a new kitchen it’s only right that we should have a new bin and Brabantia sent us their Flatback Pedal Bin to have pride of place in our new extension.
The Brabantia Flatback Pedal Bin has a 40 litre capacity which is perfect for family life. It also comes in a range of colours – something we’re used to with Brabantia products. But, we chose the matt steel option which is fingerprint proof – a big thumbs up when you have young children.
The pedal is easy to operate and the bin opens really smoothly – even when the children use it. The flat back makes it space saving and a lot neater in a kitchen than a traditional round bin – and the lid doesn’t hit the wall when you open it either!
The bin has a removable inner bucket that makes it easy to clean and the handles on the bucket are really easy to grip and ergonomically designed to make emptying the bin as simple as possible. Plus, the inner bucket makes the bin easy to clean too and bags are held nicely in place.
A bin is usually part of a kitchen that isn’t really thought about but considering you use it so much, empty it regularly and often have it in constant view it really needs to be something that will fit nicely into your life. I’m sure this Brabantia bin will be the perfect addition to our new kitchen.
The Brabantia Flatback Pedal Bin has an RRP of £143.00
