Plutonium Sox, Ash and Slipper Boots #LittleLoves

Some of the items featured in this post were provided for us to feature. I’ve added a * next to those items for reference.

And it’s that time of the week again. Fridays seem to come round quicker and quicker. This week has been a pretty ordinary one but there have been some things we’ve been loving this week.

I have mostly caught up with blog reading this week and two posts from Natalie over at Plutonium Sox have stuck in my mind – Embracing Positivity: Why It’s Not For Me is a great post about doing things for the right reasons. Then there was I’m Just A Mum Like You which is a really well written post about judging people – or not. I love Natalie’s blog and it’s slowly but surely becoming one of my firm favourites.

This week has been all about catching up on our typical TV shows and I am so glad that Undateables in back on. I just love a happy ending.

I had a bit of a reminisce with music this week, playing some tunes to the kids that I thought of from the years gone by when I actually used to listen to music.

I loved Ash as a teenager and so this song took me right back…

This week has been all about slipper boots and joggers! I have been in full on hibernation mode whenever we haven’t had to leave the house – mainly because I’ve had an extra day at work this week so have had to wind down on the other days to compensate!

Well, I made some tweaks to my blog in the form of some ‘favourite post’ buttons for my sidebar. They’re all the posts that I have enjoyed writing and that I have had really good support for too but not necessarily the ones that are statistically best. I’m sure I’ll be adding more posts there as the years go on.

and lastly…

This weekend we have got the first of four planning type people coming round to give us a quote for drawing/submitting the plans for our extension. Realistically it probably won’t happen this year but if we can get the plans drawn and get quotes for the building work we’ll know where we stand and can get the ball rolling to hopefully have it finished by next summer.

Have a lovely weekend everyone!

  • Aww thank you so much for the mention, such kind words. It’s lovely to hear that someone is reading my drivel. I used to love the undateables too back in the day when I had time to watch tv! Good luck with your extension plans. I need to take a leaf out of your book and get on with that, I’ve got plans that were drawn up many years ago but it all went on hold.xx

  • Love the new favorite sidebar posts buttons. I have a few sidebar updates I need to do its just finding the time to sort all the little things out all the time isn’t it. lol Extension sounds amazing and it’s all about having the plans done first for sure. I want to get our loft converted for an office I need to get plans and quotes for it at least so I know how much I need to start budgeting for and saving. We have a lot of house plans this coming year so I can’t wait to get it started. Finally finish off the house from when we first moved in. Have a lovely weekend ahead hun. #littleloves

  • The extension sounds exciting and how fab to get the ball rolling. It is definitely the time to hibernate, though I have just done the school run without a coat on as its quite mild today. Love your favourite posts in your sidebar Donna #littleloves x
